(Editor's note: we are posting the following rant by itself because it pertains to the Thursday, April 15 Payson Town Council meeting. Festivities begin at 5:30 p.m. and the meeting, at Payson Town Hall across from WalMart, is open to the public. Come on out and make your views known.)
On this Thursday's council agenda, a few of the changes made in Bob Edwards term will be rolled back:
-Repeal of the building permit limits.
-Backing off of the drainage requirements for new developments.
In addition on the agenda is:
-The building height change to 7 stories.
-Increase in bed tax from 3% to 5%.
-Last but not least, Jere Jerrel is leaving P&Z and being replaced by Mark Waldrop and not Gary Bedsworth (pictured at right). The latter, you will recall, was not reappointed by Vice Mayor Mike Vogel who, instead, appointed a realtor.
If the citizens don't care about any of these topics, nothing will wake them up.

And now there is something in the wind to keep Mike Vogel at Kenny Evans fingertips. Just keep Vogel, even though he lost the election, doing what Evans tells him to do by giving Vogel a Town job, yes, a PAID employee. They say he wants to stay and finish what he started.
Hey Vogel, the community doesn't want you representing them or they would have voted you back in. What you and Evans are planning is politics at its worst.
