Pleasant Valley Winery one of 12 at AZ State Fair

Jim and Marie Petroff, owners of Pleasant Valley Winery.

For the very first time, the Arizona State Fair will feature a wine competition and wine garden on October 22-23.

Pleasant Valley Winery is one of 12 Arizona wineries represented at this banner event for the Arizona wine industry. Wines will be available for tasting, by the glass, and by the bottle. Pleasant Valley Winery will feature nine varieties of wines for competition and tasting: Elderberry, Pomegranate, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir Blush, Muscadine, House Red, Zinfandel, Italian Amarone, and their award-winning Summer Honey (Mead). Pleasant Valley wines are available in both regular 750ml and single-serving bottle sizes.

The State Fair Wine Garden will be located adjacent to the food booths.  At 2 p.m. each of the two days of the wine garden event, Jim and Marie Petroff of Pleasant Valley Winery will take the stage and tell the blood and guts story of the infamous Pleasant Valley War of the late 1800's, the bloodiest range war in American history.

Hours of the fair are 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Pleasant Valley wines are available anytime from the Beverage Place in Payson and Globe.
