The Rim Country woman accused of aiding her son's escape from a privately operated Arizona prison in Kingman last July received a seven month prison sentence on Friday according to an article in today's (Jan. 8) Arizona Republic.
Claudia Mae Washington, 68, operated a gas station in Jake's Corner from which her son, John McCluskey, fellow escapee Tracy Province and fiancee and cousin Casslyn Welch headed east to New Mexico where they robbed and murdered a couple. The trio were captured in August.
Washburn admitted giving Welch money, but denied providing the keys to a getaway car.
