Michigan native Lucile Young dies at 89

Lucile Alta (Hamilton) Young went home to her heavenly Father on June 10, 2010. She was born in Minnesota on Jan, 16, 1921 to Charles and Clara (Roeglin) Hamilton. On Aug. 24, 1945, she married Bill G. Young in Plymouth, Mich. and he survives.

After raising four children, Lucile spent many years volunteering at the American Red Cross Society and also at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Plymouth and at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church in Payson.

Surviving besides her husband are Nancy (Richard) Aseltine, Susan (Donald) Brodowitz, Charles ( Terri) Young and Michael (Carole) Young and 7 grandchildren; Stefani, Jeffrey, Adam, Ryan, Amanda, James, Nyla, and 2 great-grandchildren; Kyle and Atris. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Ben Young.

A memorial service will be held at Rock of Ages Lutheran Church, 204 W. Airport Rd, Payson, on June 23 at 11 a.m. The family asks for no flowers but if you desire to make a donation to the Activity Center at Payson Care Center, 107 E. Lone Pine Dr., Payson, AZ 85541, in Lucile’s name, it would be appreciated.
