ark Salter, who was a top adviser on the 2008 presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain (R), is not a fan of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R).

On Thursday, Salter went on Facebook and posted an article criticizing a comment Walker made about the Islamic State jihadist group (also known as ISIS or ISIL) at the Conservative Political Action Conference. Salter added a colorful comment.
"I want to like him but Scott Walker is kind of a dumb ass," Salter wrote.

During the 2008 race, Salter became known as an outspoken staffer who sent reporters colorful missives Politico dubbed "Saltergrams." He did not respond to a request for comment about his post from Business Insider.

At CPAC, Walker pointed to his experience weathering massive protests against his administration when he was asked how he would handle ISIS if he were president.
"We need a leader with that kind of confidence," Walker said. "If I can take on 100,000 protesters, I can do the same across the world.

Walker is a top Republican contender in the 2016 presidential election. In recent weeks he has gone from a relative dark horse to leading several polls

Even if he is a "dumb ass," it is tediously clear that if Walker emerges as the frontrunner, the party will gladly promote his candidacy for "president." The same party that would have had another dumb ass within a heartbeat of the presidency could not care less about native intelligence. They care only about gaming the system.

They only care about being in charge so they can get and keep all the money. Governing? Not so much.
And the real party leaders (Cheney, Bush senior, et al) really prefer "dumbasses" provided they do as they're told.

He had an accident when he strayed from the script and had to ad lib. His handlers will need to work on that.

The Kochchip is probably being inserted as we amuse ourselves here...little pasty Scotty, with his bravery bona fides established, is of course just the weasel we want to face off with top Chinese who want to own us...oh, yeah, a guy who has already sold out serious local-rule American institutions... ie, unions...he's just the dumbie to put between us and foreign totalitarianism ...because he's already busy aligning his portions of the US to obey domestic totalitarians.. .in short, with pasty dumpling Scott in state office and by now potential pet of the Kochboys...the country's ALREADY been partially taken over by the enemies of the Constitution.

That's what appeals to his base---they have much in common!

He is the preferred candidate of the Koch brothers. He is the most extreme candidate running for the Republican nomination. If the oligarchs can elect him, that could be our last presidential election. Everything after that would be just for show. Walker's only opposition for the Republican nomination seems to be Netanyahu.

Gee, what would have happened to WI if a SMART, brutal, vicious neo-fascist had been elected ... AND re-elected?

You may recall what Grover Norquist said in 2012, that all the GOP had to do was "Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States....We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it." So a dumbass would be exactly what they want.
