Garden fundraiser benefits animal groups

Vee Jeanne and Kathy Morgan were among the many participants at the Freegard fundraiser who celebrated in style with fashionable garden hats.

Judy Freegard’s annual ‘Champagne in the Garden’ fundraiser held in her beautiful Star Valley garden on Aug. 18 was a great success.

Champagne, laughter, merriment and garden sales complemented the fine food catered by Miss Fitz 260 CafĂ©.   This year’s celebration benefited the Animal Welfare Thrift Shop, a non-profit organization that provides assistance to compromised animals in need, including some of Payson’s animal welfare groups: Rim Country Friends of the Ferals, Aussie and Friends Rescue, and Wonders of the Wild Animal Sanctuary.
The Animal Welfare Thrift Shop is located at 434 S. Highway 87 (Suites, B, C and D) behind the Time Out thrift shop.  It's open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
