Is it the chicken or the egg?
Tea Party members of congress did not sneak in at night, nor did they bribe someone to let them in. They were sent there, fair and square, by a majority of voters in their districts, just like it says in The Constitution. This,in turn,means that a majority of voters in many areas share the same diminished mental capacity.
The generation revealing this lack of balanced cognitive ability has been educated at a television set engulfed in programs like "The Simpsons," or welded to a computer screen engaged in some sort of digital unreality.
Most can't tell you who was President in 1944 or even how many U.S. Senators there are. They have no understanding of what makes the real world work or why that might be.
Like the one-celled organisms they resemble, they only know how to exist by reacting to outside stimulus land thrashing about in response. Complex thought has been bred out. Independent conclusions are not just discouraged, they are seen as "un-patriotic."
Worse,having no rational points of reference, this group is convinced of their omniscience, and in this delusional state, they repel any attempt at debate.They will continue to send more and more of the Zombie-like creatures to represent them, and in fact, they are well represented.
God bless America. We certainly need it.
