LETTER TO THE EDITOR
Editor:
I am writing about my deep concern that a charter school may get a
lease approval of a portion of the University/Forest Service land
without sufficient hearing on the community impact. There are some
good charter schools and some such education businesses that have not
been good for communities in Arizona.
Our community goal is to improve education, not necessarily to
destroy the current system and start over with a new system. Please
let us all know that a fair procedure will take place to voice our
concerns and address issues. I do not want to find out that closed
door negotiations have left us with a done deal. Please keep the
public involved.
