Award-winning First Friday on Main Street turns 5

HISTORIC MAIN STREET

Whether you are a local or one of our summer visitors, make sure to put First Friday on Main Street on your must do list.

Our award winning event is a great way to catch up with old friends or make new ones while you enjoy music and munchies along Main Street, where the merchants are open for you to browse and discover what the Historic District has to offer.

Stop in at Todd's Books for great reading and more.

Main Street Guitars & Gifts is new to the street and has just what the music lover needs. The owners Anne & Jim will be there to greet you.

Down The Street Art Gallery is hosting an ice cream social to benefit the Christmas Angel Tree program that provides Christmas gifts to those less fortunate.

Plus, the Humane Society of Central Arizona Secondhand Store has many interesting things and all the profit goes to keep their shelter saving animals from the Rim country. Make a night of it...this Friday, Aug. 4, from 5-8 p.m. rain or shine.

BOOTLEG ALLEY

At First Friday on Historic Main Street, Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art is celebrating five years in business and 51 consecutive First Fridays.

Enjoy listening to the popular local band "Trouble in Paradise" performing soft rock on Bootleg Alley's porch.

Feast on gourmet brats grilled by Chef Gary Bedsworth and Diane Frederich Bedsworth. For five bucks, diners can purchase a Charlie's brat with all the trimmings along with a soda and chips. All net proceeds benefit local animal charity PAWS.

Top off dinner with a dessert from SCOOPS.

The Rodeo Jail Girls are back selling raffle tickets, shirts, and rodeo pins.

Join the celebration on August 5th from 5-8 p.m. Anniversary cake and punch will be served.
