PHOENIX – Today, the Arizona League of Conservation Voters (AZLCV) released their endorsement slate for the November 2010 elections. The non-partisan League works to reach common-sense solutions to Arizona’s environmental challenges and the AZLCV’s endorsed candidates share those values.
The AZLCV recommends Terry Goddard for Governor, Chris Deschene for Secretary of State, Felecia Rotellini for Attorney General and Andrei Cherny for State Treasurer. AZLCV also released legislative endorsements naming 34 legislative candidates as the best choices for voters concerned with conservation and the environment.*
AZLCV endorsed candidates will work to re-open our state parks, prioritize renewable energy development, support clean air and water and protect Arizona’s natural heritage.
“We are proud to endorse these 38 candidates and look forward to their election in November,” said Steve Arnquist, Executive Director of the AZLCV. “We also look forward to a time when all Arizona candidates are supporting quality of life in Arizona, including the air we breathe, the water we drink and the land we walk on. Supporting something that helps our economy, improves our quality of life and creates jobs, like state parks, should be a no-brainer.”
The AZLCV also joined with its sister organization, the AZLCV Education Fund, in releasing positions on three ballot initiatives. The groups recommend: “No” on Proposition 109, “No” on Proposition 301 and “Yes” on Proposition 110.

Non-partisan? You've got to be kidding! The issues are left and the candidates they endorse are left, they aren't being honest. Why don't they simply say "If you want more government, higher taxes, and energy sources that don't deliver the juice, come on over to the progressive side of politics.'
