Rosemary Chavez earned her bachelor's degree from Luther College in Iowa, where she spent summers performing with show groups, including a stint on Mackinac Island before moving to Los Angeles. She toured with the internationally acclaimed Nordic Choir, performing in such notable settings as Alice Trully Hall in Lincoln Center in New York City. Later in 2010, she joined the Noble Alumni Choir to sing in Austria, Germany and in the Czech Republic where she was a featured soloist.

While in LA, Rosemary worked with artists Billy Mitchell and Nick DeMauro, and the Ron Rubin Orchestra. She played clubs on Sunset Strip, society events in Beverly Hills, and venues from Hollywood to Disneyland. She was also featured on the soundtrack of the movie ROAR which stared actresses Tippi Hedren and Melanie Griffith.  Rosemary was a featured singer the past five years at the Prescott Jazz Summit with the Stan Kenton Alumni Band, and the Harry James and Jimmy Dorsey tribute orchestras, sharing the stage with popular Valley singers Dennis Rowland, Delphine Cortez and Renee Patrick.  Rosemary and her husband, drummer Frankie Chavez, make their home in Sedona. Their most recent CD, "Sweet Jazz a' la mode" can be found online at CD Baby or at this performance.
