Even though we are no longer affiliated, we do all we can to support the Humane Society of Central Arizona (HSCAZ) - and especially the animals in their care. To that end, here is a dog that roundly deserves a new home for the holidays.
The Consort ran into Carmen and dogwalker volunteer Rita at Green Valley Park earlier this week. She was smitten (by Carmen, although it was good to see Rita, too). After spending a few minutes with the shepherd, she asked if the Gazette Blog would give her a plug.
We know better than to ignore such a request, but we also trust The Consort's judgment. She said Carmen was so incredibly sweet she was tempted to violate our sacred four pet covenant. Since we are already way over the two-pet limit in our parttime Denver condo, we are instead asking each of you to look into the recesses of your house and heart and see if you have a place for Carmen.
Here's how Petfinder describes her:
Shepherd: An adoptable dog in Payson, AZ
Large • Adult • Female
Carmen is an amazing dog. She has training in being a service dog. She gets along great with other dogs and is extremely intelligent and affectionate.
More about Carmen
