In today's Sunday (May 8) Arizona Republic, columnist E.J. Montini hilariously rips the state legislature for naming an official state firearm in violation of the state constitution. He writes: "If lawmakers decide to designate an 'official bulls-eye' to complement our official revolver, they might consider using a rendering of the state's Constitution. They've already managed to blow a hole in it without firing a shot."
The problem: by making the Colt Single Action Army Revolver the official Arizona firearm, the state is illegally endorsing one company over all other gun manufacturers.
