Bernie Sanders Draws Largest Crowd Yet In Phoenix

DEM PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE TAKES VALLEY BY STORM

From The Huffington Post

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) continues to barnstorm the country with crowds that top those of every other contender in the race for the White House, Republican or Democrat.

At his latest campaign rally in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday, the presidential hopeful drew more than 11,000 people, who gathered to hear him speak about income inequality, money in politics, climate change and growing wages.

“Somebody told me Arizona is a conservative state. Somebody told me the people here are giving up on the political process. That’s not what I see here tonight," Sanders said at the Phoenix Convention Center, according to a transcript provided by his spokesman.

Sanders is making good on his promise to campaign in not only early primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire, but also in red states where Democrats have not had success in recent presidential elections. He is scheduled to hold rallies in Houston and Dallas on Sunday. According to his campaign, Sanders will also make stops in Louisiana next weekend, and visit Mississippi, Alabama and South Carolina in August.

The senator, a self-described Democratic socialist, currently trails former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the race for the Democratic nomination by some 30 points.

Bernie Sanders is all upset about the alleged "income inequality" in the U.S. being greater than any other country in the world.

Maybe. But then, every other country of the world depends on bribery to get any government functionary to do anything his job requires him to do. In the Latin American countries it is called "mordida." It is simply their way of doing business, corrupt though it may be. In Belize here 'while back an American expat was assaulted by 42 military troops, his dogs shot and killed, and he was held shirtless and handcuffed in the hot sun for 14 hours and then released without charges, all because he declined to contribute to some politician's campaign.

Before the breakup of the Soviet Union, the taxi drivers in Moscow earned 428 Rubles a month whether they worked or not -- You want a taxi? Pay a bribe.

But Bernie Sander is not really upset about income inequality. That's just for public consumption. It doesn't really matter to him that doctors and CEOs and Engineers should or should not earn the same thing as taxicab drivers, hamburger flippers, and ditch diggers. That's just the scam. The reality is that Bernie Sanders wants what the Soviet Union had: It didn't matter whether the people earn anything at all regardless of their work ethic or level of production. What mattered was making sure the Kommissars were paid more than anyone else for producing absolutely nothing but tyranny and control.
