You know marijuana has arrived...

BREAKING NEWS: On Friday, the Carrillo Ranch homeowners association, bowing to pressure from residents and a raft of bad publicity, reversed its ban on residents smoking medical marijuana in their front and backyards and on their patios.

[From an editorial in the Thursday, Feb. 6 edition of The Arizona Republic:]

The Carrillo Ranch homeowners association in Chandler (Arizona) is warning residents it will not tolerate smoking cannabis in backyards, even if that cannabis is medicinal and legal.

Pot smokers of the world, rejoice!

Nothing is completely normal until it arouses the righteous umbrage of busybodies in the neighborhood, i.e. the homeowners association.

They've railed against everything else that is normal: the first dandelions of spring, the tarnished door handle, the homemade basketball hoop, the car parked on the curb, the unauthorized shade of beige, the recycle can left on the curb one day longer than is fashionable.

Now comes marijuana, aching for acceptance.  Longing to be legal in American households and enjoyed in backyards everywhere.

Well, marijuana, you've come a long way, baby.

marijana is wrong no matter what it is called. This society will be called a drug induced one, now that they have added one more legal drug. More car accidents, more violence over trying to steal it, mixing it with other drugs, etc, etc. You don't have to be a genuis to see the future of what's to come.
