From Payson's Bill Sahno: The USS Arizona Battleship “Rifle” 14-Inch Gun Barrel that was shipped via flatbed truck from the U.S. Naval Support Facility Dahlgren, Virginia on Tuesday, April 10, 22 miles to a flatbed railcar for shipment to Arizona. Many people were stopping their vehicles on the sides of the road to take photos of the gun barrel movement. I do not know if there will ever be another move of this magnitude, a U.S. Battleship gun barrel move from the east coast to almost the west coast, several thousand miles. I thought I would share this with you; it was an honor to take part in this historic move.

That Is Awesome that the Battleship Arizona's 'rifle' made the trip Home where it belongs. Salute! to the Arizona and its crews, and to those who 'made this happen' to preserve its heritage.
