Give yourself last minute gift - a big tax deduction

December, 2010 - With all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Season, we often neglect ourselves. We seem to spend all of our time shopping, wrapping, decorating, baking, giving, visiting, etc. and there just isn’t any time leftover to take care of us. This Holiday Season you can do something nice for yourself and your community by donating a car you don’t use anymore to charity.

When you donate your car to charity, you get a car you don’t use out of your yard. You also give yourself the gift of a valuable tax deduction and your car helps a very deserving cause. As long as you date and mail the title to your car by December 31st, your car donation will qualify for a 2010 tax deduction even if the car is not picked up until 2011.

You can donate that extra car to any of over 1,000 respected charities at Cars4Charities. Their extensive list includes International charities like Aid for Haiti, Food for the Poor, Freedom From Hunger, the Fund for Peace, Helen Keller International, Partners in Health, the Smile Train, TropicalClinics, etc., National charities like the American Foundation for the Blind, the American Macular Degeneration Foundation, the American Parkinson Disease Association, Autism Speaks, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, the Cancer Research Institute, the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, the Juvenile Bipolar Research Foundation, the National Association for Down Syndrome, the National Brain Tumor Society, the National Coalition for the Homeless, the Prevent Cancer Foundation, etc.

Their list also includes local charities in Arizona like the Phoenix Rescue Mission, Teach for America - Phoenix, etc.

If you would like more information on how to donate car, please call Cars4Charities at 866-448-3487 or go to their website at http://www.cars4charities.org/
