Friends of Humane Society meet Oct. 16

The Friends of the Humane Society of Central Arizona will meet at
5:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 19 at Tiny’s Restaurant on Arizona
Highway 260.

Items to be discussed: “Dog Day in the Park” on Oct. 16; the Chili Supper on Nov. 9, sponsored by PAWS; the Community Health Fair on Nov. 6, and the Rim Country Quilt Roundup on Nov. 12, 13, and 14. All volunteers and the public are welcomed. Contact Betty Raveling at 468-7132.

Win four Cardinals tickets, basket of  goodies
Would you like a chance to win four tickets to see an Arizona Cardinals game in Glendale? The Humane Society of Central Arizona has received a basketful of Cardinals’ goodies, generously donated by Jim and Sue Lewin of Lewin & Associates, LLC.

The basket, worth over $250, contains four Section 403 tickets to the Sunday,
Dec. 5 match against the St. Louis Rams, a blue lot parking pass, plus official NFL Cardinals team logo items including four ball caps, four can cozies, and a game day tote bag. Also included are assorted snacks for your tailgating enjoyment.

Raffle tickets are $25 and the winner will be drawn on Friday, Nov. 19 at the Humane Society Thrift Shop, 404 W. Main Street. Only 100 tickets will be sold and you need not be present to win.

Tickets will also be sold at the following events: Dog Day in the Park on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10-2 p.m., and the Community Health Fair on Saturday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon.
