Mardi Gras, Eddie Armer highlight First Friday

Today, March 2, is First Friday on Main Street with most of the shops and galleries open from 5-8 p.m.

Down the Street Art Gallery will stage its own version of Mardi Gras. Meet the artists who create the art that make them the best. Wear some Mardi Gras beads or mask with your most flashy finery or they will throw some beads to you without you having to lift your shirt!

Then join musician and author Eddie Armer as he performs at the top o' the evening on First Friday at Bootleg Alley Antiques & Art. Eddie will sing and tell stories around the campfire from 5-8 p.m. Be sure to purchase a signed copy of Eddie's book, The Silent Winds of the West.

The Humane Society table will be selling raffle tickets and accepting donations. Celebrate the luck of the Irish with refreshments and ambiance at Bootleg Alley, 520 W. Historic Main St.
