"Jesse Lynch is a brilliant and genre-defying pianist."
– Taylor Mesple, Producer, Old Port Records
Jazz
101 was created by New York jazz artist Jesse Lynch. Pianist,
composer, arranger and educator, Lynch has applied his wide-ranging
skills to a new multimedia concert production chronicling the history of
jazz. Repertoire spans New Orleans classics through
Lynch’s own compositions. Lynch is accompanied by fellow New York jazz
aces Joe Michaels (bass) and Matt Smallcomb (drums). Each member has a
formidable bio typical of the new wave of jazz instrumentalists -
classical training with academic and professional
connections to traditional jazz, funk, pop and world music. Lynch has
toured nationally with Daniel Rodriguez and “The American Tenors.” The
Trio’s first album, “Intuition,” was released in 2009.
The
Tonto Community Concert Association (“TCCA”) is committed to
bringing quality entertainment to the Rim Country through an annual
concert series and support of the fine arts in Payson schools. This
series is intended as an enriching cultural experience
for the people of Payson and those in surrounding communities.
